A jazz arrangement in the Afro/Jazz/Rock idiom with a Latin tinge. This music has been recorded on Strata East Records #SES 19758. Metamorphosis

A well structured "avant garde" jazz composition which features the use of modal harmonies and full rich voicings from the "Ellington Era", African rhythms, and broken time feel. There are solo spots for both traditional and "free" soloist. The instrumentation is the same as "Ode to Nzinga". This music has also been recorded on Strata East Records and also been transcribed for strings.

(Score and Parts: $13.00)

Alicia-Miltrix Songbook
?
Order Form
Features four great melodic themes by Milton Marsh (1) Happy Moments, a jazz waltz which was the first copyrighted song by the Composer; (2) Day Dreams, an exciting Bossa Nova; (3) Smiles (piano arrangement), a ballad which has been recorded on Alicia-Miltrix Records; and (4) A Mellow Feeling, a moderate swing tempo tune that is good pure music.

All of these compositions can be arranged in unison for small and large ensembles. The music is in concert key. Appropriate harmonies and background music may be added at the Band Director’s discretion. This music will always sound good in any setting.

(Score and Parts: $10.00)

All of the compositions were composed and arranged by Milton Marsh and features various Ensembles consisting of 9 - 17 players (with strings). The Vibration Magazine, Cleveland, Ohio spoke of the music in this manner: "Intriguing and complex. It's acoustical content will be appealing to the jazz purists. Monism contributes to the advance of the Black Aesthetic during the late 1970's".
